Anti-planking law? WTF!
To show my disgust over a proposed bill by a misguided congressman to outlaw planking in the Philippines, I attempted to plank atop a table coral last Saturday at the Coral Gardens.
Unfortunately, a friend pointed out that one must be physically in contact with the medium in order for the act to be considered planking. Oh well. I had no intention of touching the coral, lest I damage it.
How ridiculous can our Congress be? In light of the Reproductive Health Bill and other important legislation still pending in the House of Representatives, “Anti-Planking” is simply absurd. No matter the rationale, making any form of expression illegal is unconstitutional.

Planking as form of freedom of expression differs from planking as the freedom of expression itself, isn’t it?
