Goodies at CEL2009 Manila!

CEL2009 poster“Technology drives the modern world, and the Philippines is fast becoming a technology-driven society. Tech-savvy Filipinos desire the latest and coolest devices, from mobile phones to digital cameras to flat-screen TVs. For these enthusiasts and buyers, Consumer Electronics Live! Manila is the premiere technology event of the year. CEL Manila is the first and the only world-class consumer electronics show that showcases all useable technology under one roof.”

From 13 to 15 November 2009, Consumer Electronics Live! Manila 2009, the country’s best consumer-oriented technology show, will happen at the World Trade Center on Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue, Pasay City. Occupying Halls A, B & C of the WTC, CEL2009 will certainly not fail to wow anyone!

Blogs have become a mainstay in Philippine society, and nobody can refute that there is technology behind blogging. So it’s not going to be a surprise that bloggers are going to play a role in CEL2009.

I’m going to be there! Along with 3 well-known Filipino bloggers, I’ve been invited to share my views on “the Elements of Successful Blogging.” This will be on the 14th (Saturday), from 1:30pm at the CEL Stage Area. I feel quite humbled by this invitation, but I shall do my best to contribute to the panel discussion. This will be hosted by Atty. JJ Disini.

There will also be a special mini-event for aspiring bloggers. If you’d like to get the best pointers on how to approach the art (and business) of blogging, head to the mini-iBlog @ CEL2009 on 15 November (Sunday) at 1:00pm. It will run up to 4:00pm. Here’s part of the official press release:

iBlog @ CEL2009While it’s true that anyone can make a blog and publish his thoughts on the World Wide Web, not everyone owns a blog that is popular enough to have a religious following, one that has people talking about your stunning photographs or your thought-provoking statements. How do you create such a blog?

Open to aspiring bloggers, the Mini iBlog Summit will tackle the basics of blogging, putting up a photo or video blog, mobile blogging, blog promotion and traffic-generating strategies, and more. Speakers include bloggers Micaela Rodriguez, Aileen Apolo, AJ Matela, Noemi Dado, and Anton Diaz. The summit will be hosted and moderated by Janette Toral.

See you at Consumer Electronics Live! next month! What are you waiting for? Click here to register now.
