For some weeks now, the team of hyperactive Davao bloggers has been busy preparing for this year’s Davao Food Appreciation Tour. To give you a background of Davao FAT, it’s an annual event — coinciding with Araw ng Dabaw — that sees bloggers from out of town sampling the various cuisine offerings of the city.

We had 8 restaurants participating in Davao FAT last year. This time around, we expect to have as our hosts Tadakuma, Kangaroo Coffee Company, Mamu’s, Café Andessa, Spirale Ristorante, and of course, the mainstay, Lachi’s.

Aside from good food, Davao FAT will also give our visitors a chance to see the city. We’ll bring the group to the Outland Adventure camp for the longest zipline in Asia. We’ll also visit the new museum. Maybe a trip to the mountains or the beach.

[Updated] From Manila, the following bloggers will come to Davao for this gastronomic adventure: JayDJ & Aileen (who were here for the 1st DFAT), Arpee & Noreen, Markku & Hana, Jayvee, Juned, Fritz, Jeff, Jennifer Llarena, Maki, and Manolo.

Announcements for Davao FAT will be posted on the Davao food trip site and on this blog.

I’m excited already as it will be my first trip to Davao. Will be taking lots of pictures as Jehzlau told me it’s beautiful there.
