WordPress 2.7 rolls out today

In honor of jazz musician, John Coltrane, WordPress version 2.7 is named “Coltrane” and is out in the world today. One of the features of the newest release of this fantastic content management platform is its auto-upgrading function. Thank goodness!

@beejing — That is wise, esp. when you have plugins that you’re not sure are compatible with the new version of WordPress. Themes too.

hmm.. to come to think of it some plugins are not backward compatible with 2.7?

@fsprincipe — Yes, there are plugins that won’t work with 2.7, but I’m not yet sure which ones. I’ll probably blog about that later on.

I’ve also upgraded to Wordpress 2.7 just this month, and I must say I’m mighty glad about the interface. Best of all, I’m excited to try the automatic upgrade feature.
