Visual searching
Google is an awesome search engine, and of course we know it revolutionized Internet searching. But if you’re bored with the mostly-text interface, or if you’d like to liven up your searching experience a bit, try searchme (www.searchme.com). It’s a graphical search engine that looks fabulous! Take a look at the screen shot:
It’s a Mac-inspired interface, as I’m sure my Mac-user friends will claim without delay.
By the looks of it, it’s all done in Adobe Flash (still sounds kinda weird to me, even after 2 years since Macromedia was bought out by Adobe). And yet, the loading time is pretty decent, considering. The search results aren’t bad at all either.

I would assume the site is being develop using Adobe Flex. Only Flex and Open Lazslo are the technologies needed to create such dynamic search engine.
Ah yes, Flex! Ted Padova was just telling me about this Adobe product yesterday. Must be fun to know how to manipulate that piece of amazing software.
