Davao Blogs Directory
Say hello to the new look and feel of the Davao Blogs Directory! I created this directory of blogs in February 2007, so it’s now a year old and then some. Happily, the Directory has achieved its goal: to become the definitive repository of blogs about Davao and/or by Dabawenyos.
This Directory lists blogs from all over the city and the region of Davao. Or, blogs that talk about Davao in one way or another.
Aside from the software upgrade and new theme, I’ve implemented a few things. First, it is now necessary to register (it’s free!) before you can submit blogs to the Directory. This is actually good, because, by being a registered member of the Davao Blogs Directory, you will be able to log back in anytime and edit your blog listings.
(For those of you who have submitted blogs to our Directory in the past, feel free to register for an account. Then, please send me a message with your registered username plus the list of blogs that you have already submitted before today. I will take care of manually associating your blogs with your new username.)
Second, articles submission is now possible. Articles, along with links, are organized by category. Registered users will be able to submit articles (something like blog posts) in any category — but, of course, the articles will have to be related to the category or sub-category to which they’re submitted. Ratings and comments are also possible per article.
This Directory is maintained by hand — all blog submissions are approved manually. I do this to make sure that no undesirable links are ever accepted into the site, especially blogs that harbor questionable content.
I’m proud to say that the Directory now has 209 blogs, as of this writing. If you think your blog deserves to be part of the Davao Blogs Directory, head on over there and be counted!
