Mindanao bloggers summit update#1
This is just to provide an update on the upcoming bloggers summit of Mindanao. We do plan to have a separate website for the summit — soon!!
We’re still going to decide on the name and theme of the whole event. I hope that participants from across Mindanao could drop in and help us brainstorm!
The date. Today at the meeting of the 6th Mindanao ICT Congress organizers, we were finalizing the schedules of the various activities of this major event. As promised, the bloggers summit has been calendared to be part of the Congress, which will run from the 23rd to the 27th of October. The date for the bloggers summit has been set to 27 October 2007 (Saturday). This is not yet final — there might be more people who’d like to have it on a weekday. So, while we can still change the date, please let us know what you think.
NCCC Mall, one of the sponsors of the Congress, has indicated that it would be possible for us bloggers to use one of their high-tech cinemas as our summit venue. An alternative is Bistro Rosario’s conference facilities on F. Torres Street. Again, feedback please.
Jojie Alcantara has agreed to sponsor the graphics design for the summit website. And, Dennis Agulo will sponsor the hosting of the website. Now, anyone for the actual website..? 
Finally, Honey Caragos is now the coordinator for Northern Mindanao. Based in Cagayan de Oro, Honey will be our point person over there. Anybody for Western and Southern Mindanao?

Ive told my Friends about it, and they’re pretty excited. A lot of us are from Cagayan de Oro City but currently located here in Cebu. Can we tag along?

@reyian — i appreciate that you’re active in my blogs, but pls, could you comment in English or Tagalog or Bisaya? the purpose of leaving comments is for everyone to be able to discuss and participate. if you keep writing in Japanese, it’s like we’re being anti-social. ok?

nindot ning blog summit sa davao ah. i was able to attend the last january’s bloggers parteeh here in manila and i have observed that there were a lot of sponsors from media, restaurants, telecom companies and other agencies. unta daghan mu-sponsor whether cash or in a form of goodies aron lingaw. how i wish i could attend this event. i am looking forward that this event will be successful.
Glad to have finally met MiGs during our meeting Sunday. Not much to report yet, that’s why I didn’t bother to write another post about it. The organizers are still firming up some preliminary details right now. But, do read Dom’s take on the theme of the upcoming Mindanao Bloggers Summit.
