I spoke too soon. In a previous post, I expressed relief that Manny Pacquiao had bowed out of the political rat race. But a few days ago, he has finally declared his intention to run. What a shame! What a total loss!
This goes to show how much Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo respects the Filipino people. The world’s #1 boxer pound-for-pound is part of the administration’s ticket. Other than his shining boxing career, the Pacman has no other qualifications to run for office. But the administration is banking on his popularity to boost their ticket. Trapo-style in its ugliest and most blatant.
Filipinos! Do we let this brazen insult to our intelligence stand? Are we going to allow this dirty kind of politics trample over our country’s image any further?
Express your thoughts on Manny Pacquiao’s congressional bid. You can do so right here by casting your vote on this blog’s Pacman Poll. Or you can go to these two websites and leave your comments there:
I dare say, this monumental blunder does not rest solely on Manny’s shoulders. He has been unwittingly cajoled and blindsided by corrupt and power-hungry trapos.

I already talked about it here >>> http://www.selaplana.com/2007/02/22/manny-pacquiao-a-high-school-graduate/
and just want to tell everybody that only Pacman knows his limitations.
If Pacman wants to become one of our politikos then let him be. who knows what Pacman can do to his district.
……………………..
anyway, just want to inform you that your directory listing request at the Pinoy Bloggers Directory has been approved. your blog is now added.

Indeed.
I have given him total respect for his ability to knock any oponent in the boxing ring, and of how he made us more proud to be Filipinos.
But this, this running for congress is a big blow to his fans.
How I wish he would forfeit his campaign, nakakahiya talaga if people would choose popularity over credibilty.
And it’s not that I’m discriminating him being a high school graduate, pero what does he know about making laws?
Will he knock anyone’s teeth out if ever they broke the law?
An uppercut for those thrown in the jail?
Politics ain’t a boxing arena.

Thats sad…Its now up to the people of Gen San if
they’ll vote for him.If they really idolized him for
his being a boxer, then they should not vote for him.
You’re dumb Manny!Im sorry to say that.
