I’ve finally gotten serious with this whole blogging affair, and decided to get myself a bunch of domains for my various writing interests. This one, www.robilloblog.com, is my new homebase.

I have a couple of people to thank for this newfound drive. First of all, Janette Toral of DigitalFilipino Club. She was the one who pushed me and relentlessly egged me on to pursue my career in information technology services. And, she was the one who convinced me to take up writing again. Janette is my mentor.

I am also very grateful to Bob Martin (Mindanao.com and WowPhilippines, among others), who generously volunteered to host my blogs. I’ve known Bob since 1996, way back in the days of Mindanao-L — long before Yahoo!Groups or even its predecessor Egroups came into existence. It was when Davao was finally wired to the Net, and I was but a newbie then, and Bob helped me out in more than a few occasions.

My very good friend and colleague, Rodney Jao of Lane Systems, without whose advice I would’ve blundered most embarrassingly in many a sticky situation. Rodney is my touchstone: he hears of all my soundest, as well as my hare-brainedest, plans and dreams. Rodney actually taught me applied programming (PHP in fact), and showed me the ropes in the world of techiedom.

My other blogs have also been transferred to their own domains/subdomains: my IT column, IT Talks! is now at http://ittalks.robilloblog.com; my Davao-love blog, formerly The Davaoeños and now known as Ang Dabawenyo is now at www.angdabawenyo.com; a new blog about health & fitness is in the works, and will also be subdomained under robilloblog.com. More on that later!

The Davao Blogspace, a blog aggregator site being hosted by Cerveo Internet Solutions, is another endeavor of mine. A pet project that will hopefully turn out to be a pitbull of a website!
